I have recently picked this firestorm up through work. Great engine but the bodywork and wheels aren't the best so it's going to meet my trusty friend the grinder!
I'm using it every day at the mo. but it will make a good winter project.
The front Fairing is going along with the seat unit, and the pipes will get a major hair cut.
As I bought it
2006 R6 seat unit soon to be transplanted

Re: Project shitstorm
looks interesting..............I have never seen a storm with a cement mixer as a bolt on extra
have a look in the pimp your ride section for pictures of RSTsteves bike, that has a Yam seat unit on it as well, give you some idea of what it will look like.
And 1st project is to tidy the garage

Re: Project shitstorm
Yep good point on the garage
renovating the house at the minute but when it's done anything thats not bike or car related will be going in the shed or the skip. Then i'm going to pimp out the garage.
This would be nice
This is more likely

Re: Project shitstorm
Though about a seat mod myself, but I'm not sure that I'd find the higher/more angled seat comfortable.
Not as in sitting on, more about putting more weight on the wrists.
Good luck, keep the piccies coming...

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: Project shitstorm
The beauty of a replacement unit is you can set the height and angle to suit, my mates triumph has got the seat unit mounted low and level as he is short in the leg
Clives Triumph
Where as my last fighter was ridonkulously high. But it fit me realy well.

Very true when its you that is doing the conversion you can set the angle to suit you. My R1 conversion is over a year old now and i still look at it and think that it really suits the bike at the angle it is. Good luck with the conversion if you need any info or pics of mine drop me a pm always happy to help if i can.
