Post by uptonpark64 »

any advice on my rear fairing round the seat, there should be 2 tabs underneath but iv'e got one broke
and one missing, firstly are they important and secondly, any way to fix it without 1.superglue or 2. plastic ties

The underneath ones don't seem to matter, but the ones on top are quite important.

It's often where a well-meaning mate has helped to bump-start the bike, and pushes on that plastic-
it's far too delicate to take that kind of force, much like myself.

Slap some gaffer tape round it, you can't see it from where you sit so it doesn't matter.
:D
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

If the tab has broken on the body panel you could build a very professional repair using 'Plastech' products. It's not actually a structural fixing point so as was said you could dog it.

Like Tony said, woudn't worry about it and the fiddly little plastic screws that go with em - that includes the ones that are used on the inside of the fairing near the radiators.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Seriously, if you have any kind of ability re airfix modelling give the Plastech and ABS plastic sheeting a go. You can achieve brilliant results.
