Titanium bolts to hold the rear disc on.
My wife thinks I'm obsessed. :whatever

Where will it all end?

Tony, Sounds like you are past redemtion !, once the Ti bug gets you you are a gonner

where did you get them from, I am on the cusp of getting some Ti bolts for the front calipers [the 4 that hold the 2 halfs together, not the 2 that hold them to the forks] cause one side of the CBR600 kit I fitted, the bolts are corroded.
ProBolt were crazy money, but I could get the same grade parts from a mountain bike stockist for half the price.

I still havent made the plunge as I know it will only end in bankruptsy and divorce

£500 in Ti fasteners to save a half kilo in weight.
tbh you'd be better off getting into the habit of having a crap before you go for a ride.

Don't need to, I crapped myself when I found out that the wife knew I was back to ordering bits again...... :Argue 1:

I got them from:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3321wt_921
You get six for that price, so I'll have two spare.

Anyone else ordering some? If you also have two spare I'll buy them off you for a spare rear wheel.

They're not badly priced; DS have the standard ones at £2.82 each, and they're way heavier......
Several fractions of a gram, and that's each.

I'm saving up for thinner paint.

I have 12 grands worth of titanium - it's in me back though lol lol lol

Years ago talking to the Hawk Kawasaki team, they even stripped paint from the frame! Look for sound deadening material too - another classic 7R weight saver...,

Then: Digi dash, dump mirrors, led tailight assembly, 16l tank (I'll take your 19l off you) renthal bars, drill disks, chop down loom.... Etc etc etc...

:-)

I would call it passionate,

My other half thinks I am mad getting the wheels stripped and resprayed.

The next will be K and N with dyno before our trip out to Wales.

I've been looking at coloured bolts. I've a black storm with red decals so I'm thinking of getting the odd bolts done red. Probolt do some on egay, Top yoke bolt, sprocket bolts, windshield bolts, engine, fairing and gas tank cap all can be colour coded.
:D
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Bolts arrived, lovely. I had to put them somewhere safe as it's getting a bit windy and I don't want them blowing up the garden.
Now I've ordered some Denso iridium plugs and a 900RR rear brake mounting bracket so that I've got something to do at the weekend.
Hopefully the mounting bracket will allow enough room for the caliper after I've got the Blade brace welded on.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It should do - if you use the 'Blade lug - I have the same planned on mine....
