I think they were all red models when the 50th anniversary models were released. I found this link by searching the forum, which may help.

quote "nice deep throutty sound"

so it sounds like a blow job? :?

looks bloody awfull imo and needs a lot of tlc.
specials are only special if they are kept mint and original.
seen better examples going for far less.

I ve got a 50th(heavily moded / and very un-original ,sorry if you think ive killed it )No 19
i would be inclined to check that all the relevant numbers match.
although not on mine i was always of the opinion the rear shock on these was WP ( i may be wrong ? i probaby am )
but i would still want to know collar and cuff matched / and yep should be red
GOOD LUCK

proflex shock is correct for the anniversary model, but as others said, it looks unloved and needs a fair bit of TLC so factor that in to offset the good bits

I still think a thorough check on its provenance would be in order before handing over wonga - esp at that price as it looks like a couple of parts swapped over onto a standard ratty storm could give you something as shown with a terrific mark up. Not saying that's what's happened but it is feasible.

If it is what is says then it'd need a lot of love, time and money getting it back into a respectable appearance let alone concours condition. i.e complete respsray and custom decals.

It's going to take a fair bit of alcohol to get the bid in.......

But could be a fair bit of effort to get tidy.

However it's probably the only collectable model that'll end up holding its money.

On the right vehicle they are a classic combination. The Ford GT40 and the Le Man Gulf Porsches were all in those colours. Not really appropriate for a 50th anniversary VTR when you are trying to sell it a collectible though. :whatever

The little plaque on the headstock helps it sell on EBay, though.

Wonder how many plaques there are out there?
