We've just had this thread a week or so back; you don't need a chain tool, just take the LH footpeg holder off and fit the chain already rivetted up.
Much easier.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Sorry for probable stupid newbie question but, you can get preriveted chains for the storm? I've been looking on all the usual stockists and not seen such a thing. Would save me a lot of hassle, where can I get one from?

Cheers

Couldn't see one but got a good deal with dkmotorcycles DiD recommended upgrade x ring chain and sprockets 95 quid delivered. Everywhere else wants over 130 for what seems to be the same spec!
Happy days!

No I don't think so! I couldn't any one that stated broken or unbroken! I've borrowed a chain tool from a mate so its not going to be to bad in the end. Would have prefered a finished chain but hey Ho.
Biggest problem is gettin the right wording "preriveted chain" doesn't give much on Google and neither did " sealed chain" if anyone knows a more technical term that might work?

Try "endless".

Or just call any of the suppliers in the back of MCN.

And to really confuse any supplier ask for a Mobius endless one-sided chain ;)

And when they ask you how long you want it, tell them you didn't know they did daily rental.
