First time Firestorm owner

Post by wingman14 »

Hello everyone.

Just bought my first Firestorm. Its a 2000 Model, stanard except for blue flame cans and handlebar risers. Was going to replace my loyal TDM with the Storm, but in the end just couldn't part with the TDM. Hopefully I'll feel the same way about the Storm after a few years. Wife not over impressed with me keeping both!

My time is split between SE London and Littlehampton in West Sussex, so if there are any other ownesr local, drop me a line.

Looking into some manual CCTs havinf read the posts from those knowledgable on the subject on this site. I'm no mechanic but not changing thm doesn't seem like a sensible option.

Roll on the summer.

Rob

Just found how to make a pic available. Link below.

Hi, and welcome.
Changing CCT''s isn't difficult, just follow the instructions in the Workshop section to the letter- job done.

Se London? We occasionally get a run together with the Kent and Essex lads, keep an eye out on Sunday Runs.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Thanks for that.
I have mailed him and with a bit of luck will be able to buy some CCTs this week.
Seems crazy that the problem my hondas had in the 80's were still present 20 years later. Just happy to have found so much knowledge and hepful guys here.

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum

Yes isn't it surprising to find Honda still struggling with CCT's after all those years. The only good thing about that (if there is one) Honda are not on their own. Most of the other big three Japanese manufactures have had their fair share in that department too with certain models.

Rob, welcome to the club and enjoy the bike.

Looks like a clean bike, and a good colour as well.
