I renamed my bike "charity".

That way, I can tell my wife that all my spare money goes to charity.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Nice one Tony!

I rode the XSR down to Chichester to have my new Pilot 4 Roads fitted. When he took the front wheel out there was a screw in the tyre, glad that happened on the ride down and n0t the ride back!
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

  One of your better ones Tony :D

Today I flushed the cooling system then added the new coolant and de-ionised water.

The temperature gauge went up slightly higher than normal before the fan cut in. I'm hoping that will go back to normal on the next run up to normal working temperature,

Does the new baby need burping?
Now it's been run up to temperature it might be worth taking the filler cap back off and see if it needs a bit more coolant. The initial switch on and run should have pushed any air bubbles around the system. If the bike was left on the side stand they will collect in the right hand rad with a bit of luck.
it would also explain the temp difference if the air wasn't letting it pressurise properly

Cheers Pete, I'm intending to be running the bike up again to full working temperature tomorrow to see where the temperature is on the gauge when the fan cuts in, and yes it does need topping up slightly you're right. When it didn't cut in as expected on the gauge I was wondering what I had not re-connected  It soon cut in while I was checking things over, I gave a sigh of relief :)

World War Rusty the Storm.

Today I won the Battle of the Disc's...
Rusty discs.jpg
Strategically out maneuvered the dodgy disc bolts with guile, plus gas, a decent hex bit, a hammer & a breaker bar.

A bigger hammer, blow torch & a drill wer kept in reserve but stood down.

As the bolts were so rusty I had to tap the hex bit in, which probaly helped a bit.

Slight tweek up tighter, nice little 'crack' & then unwind.

100*/* surender, all out no casualties.

Won that battle but withdrew from the Battle of the Engine Bolt.

Got the castleated nuts off. Zero movement at either end.

Rain moved in from the south.

Packed up & withdrew.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Went round the houses to waste some hydrocarbons.

Abs works, Speedo works. Bike stable with smaller wheel at all speeds, and corners like a dream.
