Nick, sounds like you have been giving this a lot of thought, but I guess that the firestorm of your dreams is never going to be that everyday, easy to use bike that we all mostly need.

like you say, you need 2 bikes….. have you thought about getting a bigger shed and selling a kidney

Well today i found an extra 34bhp . and a bonus 28ft/lbs torque

i should say it was from Bernard the van, i got that stupid Adblue and eloys mapped out before it gives me any hassle, to boot its now doing 76mpg at cruising speeds the whole way home,, well worth £145

Installed these ebay specials yesterday, in the hope of protecting my delicate hands during my "cold" weather rides. Designed for a Yamaha Tenere 700.

Just hooning around the borders on the Multistrada again today. The weather up here has been fantastic going into its second week. Cloudy with a little early morning mist on the tops but warm (15 degrees) and bone dry.

The tuono valves have had their third check and remain in spec as they have done for 30k miles and 6 1/2 years from new. For such a highly stressed engine I'm well impressed. Original battery is still going strong as well. A bit different to my little KTM which was falling apart after 9k miles.

Down here in Cornwall the weather has been sh1te, one reasonable day on Monday gone when I did get a ride-out in, but the rest has been mainly grey skies and misty for the last 6 or 7 days, although still reasonably warm for November.

Which make battery is in your Tuono Ian? I am guessing either a Motobatt or Yuasa,

that adblue system on these engines are a complete pain in the ass . bin it soon as possible

It was a tough day today, starting to take my bike apart. She was a fit-as... supermodel but had way too many headaches. As the parts go I'm sure I'll start looking forward to a more accommodating bike.

The thought of taking a trip down to the south coast of France to see my youngest is building the motivation. The 'Storm would never have been suitable for that.
