I won !

I will not be defeated...

It turned over by hand easy enough, might stick a set of manuals on it & see if it starts, but having put a battery on it, it lit up ok & shows 37500mls ... is it worth the effort to save ?

All the body work is off despite feking pro bolt bl**dy fixings on the fairing & mudguard... 3 came out easy...Thanks plus gas. 1 was drilled. 3 on the mud guard also saw the vengence of the drill...

Round two on the sump bolt..victory is mine also killed the oil filtter with a screw driver, even that was so rusty the removal tool just rounded it off...

Oil came out with no major bits of metal fillings in but was a bit milky, prob just condensation...

Took the rusty as fek rack off & the fitting kit came out easy...

Thats enough for today...

Well done that man. Crack on!!

So you're now relying on the 'Marquez excuse' to gain empathy?

Didn't know you even had an extension on your index finger.
Useful for getting the retaining clip on when changing headlight bulbs.

Or was it for deep nasal action?

I'm only saying "scratch and sniff" once, then dropping the subject......it's dead to me now.

Had a good 'old man' ride today, which means I was prepared to take it easy and sit behind the little amount of traffic rather than race past it.

Great on the roads (UK) with schools having returned.

I did the petseal regime on the tank of the wife's SL125.
It was impressive, and removed 15 years of neglect and rust. I need to wait a week for it to fully set and garden, so will take it to the painter the sat after the Wales run.
A slight annoyance, he pushed a shallow dent out if the tank side a couple if weeks back, but used a lever through the filler neck, as you have to. He disturbed the filler neck levering on it, and so even with the filler cap on it still allows the acids and washes to leak out, due to the neck surface not being flat. I tidied it up as best I could, maybe the painter can flatten it with filler¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯

I have a new filler cap and gasket to use, but I hope it doesn't leak fuel after it's been painted.
If it does, I will try the anti slosh foam in the tank, and never fill it completely, and hope that will be enough.
To be honest, with 4 1/2" drum brakes it won't decelerate fast enough to cause the fuel to slosh anyway......and it certainly won't accelerate fast enough, either.
Fingers crossed.

I thought about cleaning the Tuono, ready for Wales, but as it's due to rain throughout, won't bother. Might dubbin my leathers and boots tomorrow, instead.
Old school styleee

Gave Nue Red some luvin, ready for next week.

Oil N fillter, top up the scott oiler, gave the callipers a clean & checked the pads.

Farted around with a Bagster universal harness but I couldn't get it to sit right, bag when fitted is too far back. Gave up I will stick to the magnetic bag.

As Tony said we will prob get some rain so didn't bother washing it...

I might show it a rag with some polish on it on Thursday then wash Wales off it next Monday...

So not today but at the weekend I removed the vfr800 bars and switched back to standard bars, added bar end mirrors so I can see more than my shoulders and removed standard mirrors and put in blanking plates 🙂

I can't use bar end mirrors because the bikes won't fit through my front door! :(
