Rectifier

Post by gumbie man »

Just a quick question concerning rectifiers. Does it matter what year/model R6 the rectifier comes off. 1 other question, How long does it take to fit manual CCT and how much would anybody charge to do it. I live in oxfordshire.

Depends on if you want them done right away,

You could pm tony.Mon as he does not ripe you off, but he may not have the time, or wait till we have another maintenance day and get them done then.

Unless you have history you will not know if originals have been fitted with new Honda,

If they are manuals like mine, they will look the same as the original Hondas with a thread and a nut coming out the end, or if they are APE versions, the will be a small machine section with a long thread out the end.

If they are original Hondas, they will have a hex nut in the end.

Pictures are easier, but I am on my phone and makes it difficult to attach piccies.

Take a look at this link supplied by Beast:-

The R1 or R6 rectifier most use is around 98-2002 year, they look like this one:-
