Yeah had it re covered and packed a few weeks ago but it was the same before that, thats part of the reason i had it done in the hope it closed the gap a bit, iwas wondering if i undid the two nuts under the rear of the tank weather i could slide itback a bit,

Only thing I can think of is if those brackets have become bent at all, maybe from a frontal whallop and baldrocks meets tank episode ?
Can you take a pic with the seat off, and one of the bracket at the front ?
Hi Mike
i've sorted it mate, the hooks that hold the seat were the wrong way round when the bloke re covered the seat he put them on the wrong sides, alsogave the retaining hoops the hooks fit into a gentle ish bang with Benny's favourite tool and the seat now goes on better, the seat has always been a nightmare to get on and off it now slides on and off again, it maybe that one of the previous owners had the seat re covered years ago and these hooks were fitted wrong then so the bloke who re covered it for me just put them back how he found them, the seat and tank now touch and teh seat comes off with very little effort.
thanks for the reply though.
