refitting fuel tank

Post by freakdazzer »

hi i know this is gonna sound stupid but can anyone help.Took the tank of my vtr 5 weeks ago,got it back (had it resprayed)yesterday put it back on tried starting and nothing then thinkin put some of the tubes around wrong changed.then tried again starts on choke then peters out.think i got smaller tubes round the wrong way, if i try again is it gonna damage in anyway.Bit of a newbie to doing things on the bike:ie servicing and new brake pads.feel a bit of a knob for asking but you don't ask you don't get.And i need to get out there while the suns still shining.(incidently put new fuel in tank as well)and before the respray had not been started for 3 weeks so 9 weeks not started altogether so could it be something else or me being utterly stupid.awaiting comments good and bad.cheers

Sounds like the same problem I had...try the back hose, will probably have put it on the drain spit rather than the correct one at the rear
