Hey guys just a quick one,. After rebuilding my bike and puttin a new air filter "pipercross" and race cans on it is very rough and snatchy low down under 4,000rpm it is a bitch so ridein slow is a real pain. I went to see about getting it dynojetted and set up at a local garage they quotted between £300 and £400 does this sound right or dam exspensive. On another point my clutch seems quit heaver to it has a stainless clutch line but christ my hand is killin me after doin the egg run today. Any help guys would be great thanx.

PS Did anyone else do the egg run today was bloody great :D

8 dyno runs @£25 a time can add up... (I paid £200 a decade ago)

The jetting with those changes will need tinkering with to see significant gains.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

under 4k, suggest you change to 48 pilots, stick a m4 washer under the needles and stick a 180 main in the front, 185 in the rear.
wouldnt bother with the dj kit tbh, more trouble than theyre worth.

pilot jets - standard is 45
part number for 48 is 99103-4370480

for 50 substitute 500 for the 480 hth

£6.84 each from wemoto / silvers / honda

will probably want the mixture screw adjusting too but dont bother til you've changed the pilots.
you'd be as well getting a flexy mixture screw tool for that cos it's near impossible to get at in situ without one.

then stick it on a dyno & get a printout of the fuelling ratio, and power obviously :D
the sizes ive stated should work well but are only a guideline.... you need to richen up the mixture throughout the rpm range to avoid burning a valve!

Might sound dumb but why different main sizes front and rear?

same as mr honda fits... the rear main jet and needle run a little richer to help cool the rear pot.
thats the theory anyway
standrd jets in uk modael are 175 & 178 iirc

Just to add my twopenuth':

After taking advice from here.... I have 188/192 mains and 50 pilots (mine had 48's as standard) And I did not had to shim the needles... Which saved doing battle with Zebedee's evil twin brothers.
I am using k&n air filter, two short inlet trumpets and scorpion race cans with "db killers" runs fine with no flat spots.... Tick over just a bit higher than it was....
