hugger issue!

Post by BIGANDYREDVTR »

The rear hugger fitted on my storm is chafing on the tyre once the tyres get a bit of heat into them!

On closer inspection hugger seems to be fitted over original chain guard!!!!

That cant be right can it?????

:confused

Hi, I have a Pyramid hugger on my bike with the original chain guard fitted over the top. I use Dunlop tyres, D208 and 209's and they have been very close to the hugger but the Roadsmart i have just put on is miles away. After measuring with a big set of callipers its 6mm narrower. Don't suppose any of this helps you lol

i tried a 190 on mine last year and it was just catching the hugger slightly on the chainguard side.
i lifted it a bit at the back with small brackets & it worked ok, no more rubbing, but had already worn a groove in it.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
