Good vibrations?

Post by BigVeeGrin »

Whilst pootling back to work today in traffic I noticed that if I rest my heels on the cans the right one vibrates significantly more than the left!? Both are done up the same.

Why ever would you be driving with your right hand resting on the end can?

heels, not hands! :D you were skim reading like I do.

Pipes will vibrate differently as they are attached to the engine in different ways, and that change in rigidity will gave them different natural frequencies

It's because the RH can joins at a nearly-straight angle, therefore any vibrations are passed on to it, like an extension of any vibrations in the system.

The LH one is effectively able to pivot up and down rotating about the join just beneath the LH peg.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
