Moko Crash Bungs

Bought a pair of e-bay last week and they have arrived today.

anybody know how to fit them (no instructions supplied) :oops:

One has a larger diameter hole than the other, which is which?, and which bolts do you remove to fit them?
There also appears to be 2 allen bolts on each steel arm, I presume these tighten up against summat?

Help, anyone! In the meantime I'll mail the seller for advice

Ok, so I've had a better look now and I know where to fit the Moko's, it even has L and R stamped on the back of the metal arms! :oops: But hey, how do you think I got the nickname.....

But
Whats that nut-type looking thing on the lhs where I need to fasten the bobbin. Does this engine bolt need a special tool, if so I'm the man for the job.

Any advice, can I borrow one, can I buy one, do I need one, could I make one (doubt it)?

You talking about the castellated nut?
(looks like the top of a rook in chess)

You're supposed to have a special tool to remove it, but if you tap it anticlockwise CAREFULLY with a hammer and a big flathead screwdriver(the blunter the better) it'll come off. You then just slip on the mushroom, tighten the spacing bolts on each side and put the nut back on, again, tightening it carefully.

anyone know what torque setting for the nut??? :wink: :lol:

54Nm I believe. At least thats what it took to get the bugger off, so thats what it went back on with. (Actually I looked on the CD-Rom)

You ought to see the make-shift socket I got it off with, it looked like Ray Reardon's teeth! (He's a snooker player for the younger members!) Needless to say it was less than precision engineering.

Anyway, job done, looks good. Hope not to use them!
