Just changed ccts to manuals

Post by charlie2ie »

Hi there everyone, just installed manuals last Saturday. Feels good to be able to rev the storm without worrying. :D I didn't take the airbox off, there is lots of room to fit the front tensioner without touching it.
Been reading on here about the Yellow ones being hard to colour match. Unfortunatly my right hand fairing is a slightly different shade to the rest. Depending on the light it can be lighter or darker. Can they be matched or is it normally a full respray job?

I think that you will have a job to get a match - my bellypan looks OK in daylight but under fluorescent or street lights it is a paler yellow and it was done by Dream Machine with the seat cowl as a colour pick.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

My local painter looked up the colour codes and Honda's paint on the storms is a paler colour than the finished product because they use a coloured lacquer over the top  I just bought a new left panel after my crash and had some minor damage repaired and resprayed on the right panel. Got hone today and noticed that Ive got a big dirty scratch in my new paint  :eek2   Think someone at work has knocked it with their kit getting out of their car. b8stard.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!
