Tyre Replacement

Had my tyres replaced yesterday. Bob (Bob`s Tyres, Stevenage) had to drive out the rear axle and when we inspected it there was not a sign of any grease. 6 months use and it was quite rusty. Have they heard of grease in the Honda factory or are they using the cost cutting measures that Suzuki/Kawasaki seem to use?

Nah mate, its not cost cutting, its weight saving
It applies to most of the moving parts so the best thing to do with a new bike is take it to bits and grease the spindles, shock linkages, headstock etc
