Re: paint
halfords is cheep but the paint is crap
if yours is the darker yellow you will never get a match as honda used a colour pearl clear coat
but you can get close but that PAINT AINT CHEEP
you would be better of getting the panels in the correct yellow as this would be cheaper
keep an eye on ebay for them they do pop up
or you could paint the rest of the bike black to match it and it will make it faster as it adds 10bhp

Re: paint
Hi, got my Yellow
Storm fairing sprayed by a good car spray shop. The guy looked up the codes and did it by the book. The color match is perfect in sunlight but under street lights it gets lighter.
Does any one know if you can buy the correct laquer from Honda?

Re: paint
I suspect it would to achieve a perfect match to be nigh on impossible, because of factors including undercoat used, and old paint having faded over the years (my storm gradually towards the front went dark pink as it's parked due south). Yellow paint is naturally translucent and thus how it appears depends on using a recommended undercoat, then that'll be effected on how many coats of finish building up relative opacity are used compared to the the original factory job. Never heard of the pearl effect being carried by the lacquer, to finish it off yes as the pearl is in the paint and the clear lacquer gives a final gloss depth.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
