R1 mirrors

Post by Kev L »

Has anyone used Vicma R1 pattern mirrors on their Storm. If so were/are you happy with the quality/fit. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the ones you mention (Twice  ) But E-bay has plenty S/H ones! my last was The O/S one for £12 from a breakers on Flea-bay this was from a 2004-2006 model and it doesn't sit in the correct position and it's sprung loaded with a riveted stud through the middle! So mines going to work tomorrow for modification after i drilled the Pin out this afternoon, hopefully with the aid of my Air Burr it should be better to set up tomorrow

Thanks for that response. So are the 2003 a better option? The only reason for the pattern parts was to ensure good condition and get the two together (they only seem to come up as one's on the bay!).
As for the double post I can only put it down to. Age, senility, arthritic fingers & the ridiculously small keys on this fu**ing I Pod. But mostly senility.

Join the club Kev  the only good thing about advancing years is the insurance is a little cheaper.....well it's supposed to be
But as for the pattern mirrors...they may be a better option if they can be set in a position that suites the Storm! the R1 standard ones need tweeked slightly but the rearward vision is second to none once fettled! the standard mirrors are a joke and the ones I had on my blackbird were the same but you could buy extensions from JAWS Motorcycles to cure them!
