it's ok I suppose.

Nice piece of history.

Wish I had the cash but I'd struggle to get a crashed second hand one.

They have a "price match promise", so | suppose if you see another one of these at a lower price they'll have to match it.

D'you reckon they'd spot the difference between that and my bike sprayed red?

I think the stated price is over the top, but again I think he is looking for offers, and it would have to be a lot lower than that before it would sell.....but I could be wrong, there may be someone who sees this as a bit of history,

In my book, the #2 bike with foggys name on the log book would be the only one to truly be a piece of history

It's not worth it at all but it is nice. But as turbo billy says you can buy a whole lot of other bikes for the money.

Didn't some of Foggys race bikes fail to make the reserve at auction a few months back?
I think they thought they would reach £50 ish grand.

If foggy got No2 who had this one? ducati boss? race team boss?

Or reading it again I suppose if its unregistered Its just been warehoused somewhere.

Wasnt talking maths......its to do with history, desire, the beauty, rarity, Id rather have 1 of these than a collection of scabby 916, lumpy sp1, sanitised sp2 which are relativly common and in anyones financial reach its not about the value its about the whole thing not what its worth in pence. :D

If money were no object, then I`d love to have it. But then what do you do? The first time you ride it, it turns into another second hand bike. But you have to ride it (especially one like this that was built for one purpose and one purpose only) or it ceases to be a motorcycle and turns into a piece of "art". It is for this reason that I would rather have several riders that I can enjoy than just one like this to look at.
No. 95 is for sale on ebay now for £12,995 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-916-SP ... 2a17b3b46b
If I had the £42,000 to spend on the No.1, I would buy this instead and still have £30,000 to fill the toybox even further.......but then I have already admitted to being a greedy b**tard :D

If you were going to ride it, you might as well go the whole hog and ride it to a winter rally, with a tent strapped to the back, just to make the point.

And get Foggy to hand over the keys, in fornt of the press, in Lidl's car park, round the back, by the delivery entrance, on a rainy Wednesday.

Then put it away uncleaned.

Until the Bulldog Bash dragstrip, anyways.

It's only a bike.
