Where have the oldies gone - you know who you are

Been a while, but seems there is a lot of new blood on here (Younger) and I was wondering how many of the oldies are still around and how life is treating them.
So if you remember the lakes etc and feel like catching up - well now's a good time before the world ends ( hell it could be tomorrow)

I'm old but haven't been a member of this Forum long. Do you still ride a Storm? There's some nice roads over the wolds towards Hull.

I think that for some who have been here for a few years it can be a bit like Groundhog Day with the same questions being asked without trying the search function first!

Oldies?
No-one ever admits to being old until they start adding the fractions again:
"I'm eighty seven and a half, you know".

And then tell you how cheap beer was in the good old days, how much their first bike cost, and then ask you what it was that you asked them in the first place, dozing off half way through the answer.

Or is that just me?

Did you ever stay long enough at these meets to have any memory of them?

I think it's great that people of our "vintage" still get out on bikes and can be passionate about them. Years ago it would be unheard of. Life used to begin at 40, maybe now it starts at 50? Or, maybe not "starts" but "splutters slowly into life"?

Bump, i'm still lurking here, not got a storm but would always like to get another again, will probably get a bike eventually when funds allow again... shortly after hell freezes over no doubt, or i win the lottery.
The lakes and coalville are two meets i remember well, with some good tales of sporks, wrecking weddings and drunken dancing...look them up if the searches allow you to go back that far.
i think i've been here a while to.....can't remember having a wife and kids has wiped my long term memory.....oooooooooo 2002!!!!
