That's a good diagram 
Don't know if it is the same on the Honda CV flatslides, but on my dirtbikes you also have an effect of the slide cutaway at 1/8 to 1/4 throttle

Slide cutaway makes a big difference, especially with 2 strokes on round slide carbs.... Ive had good results from altering the angle...
On the cv,s youve also got air bleed and several types have accelerator pumps which basically fire a squirt of juice into the venturi to eliminate weak mix when you snap the throttle open.
Getting it right is very much a black art!

That's not how they work!!! C'mon guys, it's not that difficult!
In each carb live 2 pixies.
One with a bucket and one with a straw.
The one with the bucket chucks in fuel and the one with the straw blows in the correct air amount!
I thought everyone knew this!!! And I thought this was a good forum! 
The carb pixies are closely related to the wizards and elves that live in the forks and shock! Well, its all black magik to me anwyway!
