If I were you I'd buy a Haynes manual first
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

No.
But it makes it a lot easier if you remove the tank

If it's just a filter replacement, undo front tank bolts, loosen rear, pivot tank up and prop with a bit of wood.
Undo the airbox lid screws (you'll need to use a stubby screwdriver, and possibly a magnet on a stick for getting the two front screws out).

Remove old filter, install new filter, reassemble, enjoy.
20 minutes.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Save yourself some spons and make the Honda special tool 0017-TLP-00034 (VTR1000F- Tank lift prop) out of some 1"x1" - 14" long and prop the tank up after removing the two front 8mm mounting bolts and hinging it up on the rear mounting bolt.

As above > two 8mm bolts to remove and a screwdriver to remove IIRC 8 screws to change the airfilter > and you want to pay someone :eek2
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
