Pissed off with paint

Post by seb421 »

Got the tank dropped off by my grandad today

cant stress how pissed off i am,

gave the painter loads of images of repsol bikes and how the stripes should look

gave him pics of storms so he could see how the tank sat on the frame

placed it on the bike to see how it was and ohhh sh1t! just look at where he's put the wombles stripes

gave him at least 10 pics showing where to place them why the wombles would you put there where he has!

going to go down tomorrow and have to try not to loose my rag, its took two wombles weeks this, those black stripes cost me 20 quid!!

ignore the paint colour as its poor garage light paint is actually spot on, just mad about the wings

Is it a big job to fix if they have been lacquered over?

Looking at this Repsol Storm in comparison to your bike - are your fairing graphics right.... :eek2

If the tank vinyl has been lacquered over then you're buggered - as to remove the vinyl then the lacquer layer over the turkey ''wings' has to be removed. IMHO Best to start from scratch as to do otherwise is a bodge.

Seb - Problem is the pic you gave him isn't of a Firestorm - though his interpretation is completely cack!

Did you give him a pic/s of a finished Repsol Firestorm with the wings on the tank? i.e. Like marlbororman's

If they've been lacquered over then I'm afraid it's start all over again,If you can't live with it as it is, send it, or take to SprayBay in Grimsby, these guys really know what they're doing, and they wont rip you off
