Clutch Fluid Leak
Topped up my clutch fluid yesterday which made the clutch lever feel firmer again and bite in the right place. Now though, the reservoir is empty already and there's clutch fluid on TOP of my tank just behind where the reservoir is so it's obviously leaking from somewhere around the reservoir or lever area. Where is the leak most likely to be?

From your description it looks like a master cylinder leak - Wemoto do a rebuild seal set. Needs some nifty work with a circlip pliers or get a 2nd hand master cylinder.
Before that check the sealing copper washer that where the hydraulic system connects onto the reservoir. But my money is on the internal MC seal. Wash of the fluid as its corrosive!
Haynes manual has the procedure for rebuilding the MC - not sure what's in the downloadable PDF VTR service manual. (yup page 156)

99% it will be leaking from the 2 o rings that secure the res to the pump stem.
either that or its been banged and has a hairline crack in the bit that pushes into the o rings.
ive broke a few in that exact same place. it only takes a bit of a knock and it will leak from there.
(not sure if thats the same as you meant wicky, or if you were refering to the 2 banjo seals?)
so before buying a sealing kit, examine the condition of those o rings first cos they are only a few pence from halfords - in fact you can buy an assorted box for about a tenner that will do all manner of jobs, including the seal under the fuel tap...
you'll need to drain the oil (or soak it up with a clean lint free cloth) before remoing the little x head screw that holds the res in place.
it could also be leaking in the slave cylinder, where shite has got pushed past the pushrod and scored the seals inside.
no easy fix for that one but wemoto do a repair kit for that as well for about 20 quids
and replace the hoses if you havent already - they do perish over time & go cracked & porous.
you dont want one bursting on you when you need to slam on

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I have a complete silver RH clip-on, with std bar-end, brake lever (unbent), reservoir, throttle tube, twistgrip, throttle cables, ignition stop switch and standard hydraulic line.
As a unit, £20 plus 3.50 P+P, if you want an easy fix.

Bolt it on backwards? Upside down? Worth a try at this price, surely?
