thinking of getting one of these when cash allows ,Ive emailed the guy and he says it just plugs in 8) I know you can get them cheaper and splice them in but what I know about electrics isnt safe :crazy:

I know what gear im in most of the time :lol: just like the idea of a nice blue led gadget :wave:

it is nice but i can think of better things on the bike to spend that sort of money on

That's a lot of money for something I use my memory for......admittedly if I got to the age of some of the members on here then I might need one :shh: but come on lol

thats expensive mate! seen then advertised in bike mags for £80 :wink:

I agree that is expensive. At that price you could have one that has the voltmeter built in. Now that would be useful as you could monitor your RR, as it could give you early warning of a failure.

I posted a "how-to" in the Workshop Knowledgebase section for the connections, all you need is a soldering iron and some heat shrink tube.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Got them :wave: ill take a look whats the best one to buy if I fit it myself ,ive. Just got my bike stands so I can set it up now to sellect the gears to the indcator :confused God that confused me :crazy: :crazy:

The good news is you only have to do it once.
I've even dropped a tooth off the front sprocket and it stills picks the gears up ok.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I like the Acumen gear indicator. Admittedly I was lucky enough to buy a used one from a good mate of mine. The Acumen has a little light sensor on the face of it, so when it's dark the illumination of which gear you're in dims down, then once it's daylight again it brightens up, ace :thumbup:

I intend on fitting one at some stage with the voltmeter. There will probably be a Dg8 by the time I get around to it though. :lol: Might make a mini dash behind the instuments/clocks, round it to the shape of the screen. Nice place to flush mount some gadgets, clock etc. :!:

Bought one :thumbup: on its way im a sucker for gadgets hope it is plug nplay ive emailed him he says it comes with a harness for the storm :clap:
