has anyone tried this make, very cheap, but not sure about quality :think:

At that sort of money, if I didn't already have one I'd try it. Hang on, the TDM doesn't have one yet so I'll buy one and give it a go I think!

ive seen a couple of these where people have combined it into the rev counter or speedo and it looks pretty good not to odvious like the other makes

This one doesn't fit into the speedo or rev counter as it says;

'Detects the current gear faster than other gear indicators that use speedometer/tachometer signal'

It wires into the gear lever but I'm not sure how that works or if it's difficult to wire up.
