This is a serious answer, but I not 100% sure it's a serious question, but here goes anyway
Is it because you have fitted a spacer on the rear shock so now the bike leans over further, or because the stand keeps sinking into the soft ground :?:

If it's because of a shock spacer, didn't someone very recently post about a side stand from another bike that's longer fitting the Storm for this very problem. If it's the latter get a bigger surface area foot welded to the Storms.

Dear Flatliner, thanks for writing into Dr Storms advice line. I am intrigued as to the cause of your senior moments. Is it the VTR that needs a lay down or your goodself? I would suggest a siesta through the day may help you with remaining vertical. Alternatively lay off the falling over juice!
By the way did you manage to sort out your knobblies?

Why would a shock spacer make any difference ?? Doesnt move the bottom of the bike away from the ground, so shouldnt have any affect on the stand.

The shock spacer increases the angle at which the bike sits to gain better handling. In doing so it also increases the distance the side stand needs to reach (slightly), so increasing the lean of the bike (think triangles)

Yes, front to back...not side stand angle. It merely seperates the shock from the subframe. No affect on side stand at all.
