Thankyou Tony.Mon

Post by masterdave »

Just like to say a massive thankyou to Tony for rebuilding my engine, its running better than ever now, although ill need to run it in and give it the beans to see properly of course! Its a shame the rebuild took so long due to Honda parts delays, no fault of Tonys, but im truly glad to have my bike back! Its only a shame that i cant see how mint the engine looks inside, its now my job to bring the rest of the bike up to scratch!

I can confirm that the engine looks lovely and shiny inside!

First time I've ever needed to get an engine rebored for standard pistons, just as a heads up to anyone considering a refresh the pistons and rings are not kept in Europe, they have to be supplied by special order from Japan.
JE will make oversize pistons, standard or high compression, but they want to supply a minimum order of four...... go figure.

Don't forget to check fluid levels after a couple of hundred miles, and an oil change at 600, with a new filter.
Then you can start riding it properly!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm all confused now, he rode the bike to mine and left it; I didn't trailer it in.

I wonder who/what I was talking about?

Marty have you been sniffing lighter fuel again? Stop picking on the elderly gentleman and confusing him. Go and play with the other boys and be nice!!
