my freshly painted baby is slidling down the road with me tumbling after it.......
i'm ok, nothing broken just badly cut and bruised knees, and a sore hand.
more pissed off about the damage to the bike.......grrrr!!!!
o/s fairing/fork protector/mirror/indicator and clear lense/ bent rear brake pedal and footpeg/ slight damage to o/s can/ probably more, i can't be arsed to look, i'm putting the cover over it, i'm on a plane in 3 hours.
i'll be thinking of nothing else for the next 12 days :(

Ohhhhhh sh1t!

Sorry to hear that Marty.

Good news that your not too badly hurt. Get the cuts & bruises out in the sun they will soon heal up but no picking the scabs.

Put it out of your mind on your R&R & sort it out on your return.

bad news indeed mate

main thing is you mainly hurt your pride and not your body.

when you say gravel was it just a build up or were they doing that re-surfacing thing? , and if it was loose chippings did the council/contractor have a sign out? i think they are obliged to sign it if it was loose chippings.

have a good break anyway

Good point. It could be compensation time. Though I expect there was a bit too much speed involved.

Sorry to hear that Marty. Sounds like you and the bike have got off lightly. The worst bit is the exhaust, the rest is easily fixed and just a bit scraped up up like yourself. You could put some carbon protectors over the cans. I have a front brake lever here and some indicators if you want them. Rear peg and pedal will more than likely bend back into shape.

Oopps. :(

Have a chill out in Spain, drink mucho sangria and things wont seem so bad when you get back.

Truly gutted for you mate :(

They never feel the same or 'right' when they have been down the road, it takes a good while (and a good wallet) for the bike to feel normal again

Hope that paint work is an easy fix was really nice job that guy did.
