As a founder member of the Blue superiority club may I commend you on your impecable taste Sir. Take a gold star and three house points for resisting sticking a nasty yellow or red spring in the back of your bike.

nice shock...........what spring rate did they fit? [will be the number printed on the spring] I just changed my spring from an 850lb to a 950lb so interested to see what you are using and how you are getting on with it.

Also did you have fun setting the sag? I had to bend the c-spanner to a strange shape so it could work inside the subframe, but then if you went too far and added too much preload, then you have to bend the spanner back the opposite way!..........think I need to ask them for a 2nd spanner so I can bend one each way.

Having given them my weight & usage (12 & a bit stone in riding kit), they specced me a 925lb. Static sag was spot on straight out of the box, so I haven't played with the spanner with the shock in situ yet.
I was a bit concerned the spring rate was going to be too high, but initial impessions are that it feels much plusher and planted on our bumpy roads - mind you the old one was so stiff that anything was going to be an improvement. It certainly highlights the ropey forks!
Loving the slug pellet colour match - having just gone up a couple of teeth on the back, the bike feels like its had too many blue smarties :eek2

Judging from your pre-holiday ride n slide, sounds like you don't really need to fit them to fulfil you death wish Marty.

P.S. How are the aches, pains & scabs healing?

Rumour has it that you are always dirty anyway, so what's the difference there ??

As for the bike what's it scared of ? You getting back on it ?
