good mpg?

Post by Ro88o »

dont really care about mpg as a rule but today ive been out and clocked 221.1k which is 131 miles, no more than 3 of them are traveling to the petrol station for a tankfull of their finest super!... the light came on in oakhanger/alsager, which is again no more than 3or4miles from home, now had i been cruising all those miles i wouldnt bother saying anything, however!...cruising i most definately wasnt far from it for most of the ride! so am i gloating??? not sure, just thought it was good regarding a normally sore subject :silent:

good going if you gave it the beans on a 16ltr machine, however if you have just been doing a quick run down the motorway / free way the bike is fair economical at speed it when you take it up the B roads quick burst of power on the brakes and power again the figures come tumbling way way down

Your bikes hallucinating and giving you false readings.

It is very weird. I have experienced the faster I go the better the fuel economy I get. It's all very random though, very strange indeed. I just don't understand it. Makes no sense :confused

Yeah I noticed that in the car!

Normally I drive me car steady and economically, but sometimes when I think I'll crack on abut and get home, there's not much difference in mpg (on me computer readout thing on the dash)

Strange as you say.

A 2 day commute for me is 130 miles and it takes between 12-13 litres to fill depending how I ride (well, how wet it is). This is a commute not a Sunday ride out so pretty laid back riding.
