Rocket Centre

Post by seb421 »

rang up to book in today, after four phone calls and leaving my number for the dyno dept place to get back to me i finaly got through to them at gone 5pm

earliest free slot for dyno work is the 8th August!

and then he said we might not have required jets in and have to order some in so might take some time, I'm thinking what the wombles?? this place is supposed to be an approved tuning centre they should have a vast array of everything knocking about

So might just get the 50 and 52 size pilots and some more mains, try the needles on different clips etc

See if i can sort the lean running out in the first 2/3rds of the throttle range my self before then.

i imagined them to say some thing during the coming week but not 12 days from now.... jeeeez

will try giving this place a call tommorw see what they can offer http://www.fwdevelopments.com/service-intro.cfm?cat=3 had no answer today

Doesn't surprise me, they strike me as similar to the old Carnell's empire, lots of flashy showroom going on and claim to be able to offer all the technical services but the reality is different.

I would be taking it to Revolution, Roger's reputation is outstanding, he knows more than most people outside HRC, he carries loads of jet sizes and doesn't mess people about. I know he has a tendency to bugger off to Australia for a few months now each year, but don't hold that against him!

There was a dyno shop 50 yards away that he uses too.

Get that TPS set to 500 seb I think you will notice a big change there. 50 pilots may be a good idea with the full race exhaust. You will find the mixture will be about 1.5-1.3/4 turns out with 50's.
But TPS is a must Factory pro do say
Also - as with ALL VTR1000's - the TPS must be checked and set to 500 +/- 10 ohms - or low speed cruise smoothness is impossible to attain!
They have been seen as much as 800 ohms as delivered.
Buy your own 50's I posted some links http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 15#p214570
