Bad luck day

Post by Animal »

Thought I would take my Firestorm to work today for a bit of a blat after work.
Rode it yesterday and all was fine, today got about 15 miles into my 57 mile commute (one way) and all the dials went off.
Bugger I know what that means Reg/rec again. turned lights off dials come on. Turn indicators on dials go off.
So turned round went back home and switched to the FJR.
Got home tonight to check the reg/rec and could'nt open the bike barn because it looked like bike had tried falling over.
So the reason behind that is flat back tyre, glass in it, double bugger.
Put bike on paddock stand, now to check the reg/rec, trouble is battery is flat, triple bugger.
Almost guaranteed to be the reg/rec now, only bought it last October from Electrex, they can have that back for one that works then.

Weekend now so all is cool. Decision to make is fill the tyre with puncture safe or get it plugged.

So, how was your day?

Animal, don't use any of that spray gum/slime stuff in the tyre to seal punctures, that is only a temporary measure. Either get a plug kit and plug it yourself or take it down the local tyre shop to plug it for you.

Congrats kev the grandad.  Do you know if it's a boy or girl or a surprise?

Sorry to hijack the thread Animal but having started here I just wanted to let everyone know my first Grandchild is Florence Sarah and she was born by C section at 0650 this morning. Mum & Baby are fine. Result. I am now officially a member of the coffin dodging werthers brigade. Now where did I put my keys????
