The search for a storm begins!!

Post by geodude »

I will be returning the BMW soon. It has served its purpose and as I am only 6 miles from work as opposed to 26, I rarely use it.

Having just enjoyed yet another bloody brilliant storm meet and set eyes on some awesome storms, I have decided to seek out another one.

I am not ready to put this in the wanted section yet though!!

Basically I want lloydies bike but on a newer model. Simples!

Renthal bars
Possibly CBR front end
Uprated shock/fork springs
non-standard exhausts
F1 model on ( i think thats the new model right?)
Any colour so long as its Candy Tahitian Blue.
relatively low mileage (sub 20k would be nice)

I am also looking at a DRZ400SM that comes with a dirt set up too :)

Fingers crossed, if BMW don't charge me the earth for returning the bike early, I may just be able to pull this off.

lloydie, as its your fault, you'll came and help me with the renthral/front end stuff right?

I saw that. I'm afraid the timing isn't quite right. If It's still there when I'm in a position to buy, I'll consider it

I've had a yellow one. I fancy a primary colour and as red is so bloody common, I am only left with blue!

Not at all fussy then :) At least with a Storm you will be able to keep up on the runs.

I will keep my eyes and ears open.

Tempted. Its too much for me though. I'm budgeting 2k for bike + £500 for extras but again that depends on if the BMW is in positive equity. Thanks though
