What decibel is the storms horn?

What decibel (db) is the standard firestorm horn?
Also, does 2 horns make twice the sound or do they simply give half the sound each one?

I have no idea, only use the horn for MOT.

I use open race cans and blip the throttle a lot to get the attention of pedestrians and when filtering between lines of cars :D works a treat

it also firghtens cows as I demonstrated in Chatsworth house grounds last week

A blip of your throttle definitely attracts attention

Poor cow - probably thought that yellow thing roaring at her was a Lion. Didn't know they could run so fast

Me too. :biggrin

I like Geo's solution. or you could always get some air horns or strap a fog horn to the bars.

I also use the loud exhaust horn, but on my old Kwack, I have non air Fiamms they need a relay to be fitted but take up less room than most air horns.

As for loud, well in central London a dozy pedestrian didn't look and stepped of the kerb, I pulled the trigger, and he shot backwards and upwards in a way I didn't believe was physically possible! 8O Was like a puppet having his string pulled :D

May treat myself to some Steibel ones in the NY...... :Jaw Drop:

Got loud race cans so people are aware of me but I like to express when I'm mad  or let on to friends :D Seen a few 100db ones on ebay very cheap but no point if my standard storm is that db anyway. But then again would 2 be twice as loud as one or do they compromise each other?

I've got a Siebel nautilus on my work bike - it draws a fair current so it's wired back to the battery with a relay in place of the original horn. IT'S LOUD ! People think I'm a truck !

But what decibel is the standard storm horn? I've bought a 100 db one so hoping it's louder than the standard. Also, does 2 horns sound twice as loud or would each one run at half its db?

I think two horns with that new super duper battery you got will be twice as loud. With a sh1t battery there's a chance that all the current is being used running the bike and lights etc which will make the horn/horns not so powerful as there is less juice going to them.

Depends if you wire them series or parallel.
Parallel, via a relay would be best.

If you set them two-tone and going off one after the other you could sound like an Intercity train.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
