Not being funny Rob but you can just pull it off any way to sync the carbs.Rob wrote:
Vacuum point is on the front carb (RH side of bike), I can take a photo if you want.
You could use the Vac pipe for the fuel tank but this way I can just pull the Scottoiler pipe off and plug in the Carbtune to sync the carbs.
The screw is just above the carb on the rear cylinder on the left hand side of the bike as you sit on it, rather than a new screw trace the pipe back from the head and put a scotoiler t-piece in so that you can take the vac pipe from it, they are about £3. you need the vac to feed oil on to the chain and so that it is not pissing oil out when you are stopped. The body can be fitted anywhere but is usually under the rear seat fairing, you could also fit a res at the back of the number plate. Best thing to do is go on the scotoiler website, everything you need is available very cheap and you can also load the fitting instructions.Image wrote:Just been given a Scottoiler and it apparently needs a carb screw. 4 questions![]()

No, I was actually suggesting he fits it to the front if it is blanked. More work yes, but easy to sync in the future. Just another optionMacV2 wrote:Not being funny Rob but you can just pull it off any way to sync the carbs.Rob wrote:

Your assuming he has carb sync tubes fitted any way, if he hasn't you have now thrown a spanner in the works, two votes for rear cylinder vac pipe, one for the front.
You have to remember he was confused in his first post.
A small connector that has three open ends and is in the shape of a letter T, You cut the rubber pipe and attach each end over the connector T, the vac pipe then comes off the bottom leg of the TPhimosis wrote:Whats a T piece,

No it's not a sexual aid.Whats a T piece
Well apparently it's your choice, however fitting to the left is probably easier as that's the side the chain is on. Fitting on the right means running a longer pipe & you have to route it across to the left anyway.Image wrote:Yep, would appreciate a pic if anyones got one. Also is it RHS or LHS as both are mentioned above?
