RST Leathers, Dainese boots and Rukka gloves

Post by geodude »

Has anyone on here had any experience of the following kit?

RST Pro Series jacket and Slice trousers,
Dainese Torque Pro Out Waterproof Boots and
Rukka Atlas Gore Tex Gloves

My old leathers are way too big for me now so am in need of replacements

I'll stick my old leather on here at some point if anyone is interested. They are IXS touring leathers (no sliders)

Geo...no I dont have any of those so cant help!

but I do rate the AlpineStar 365 goretex glove which is a great 2 season race style glove. it has a slight lining as a cover for the goretex membrain so mkes them a bit warmer than unlined gloves and they are truly waterproof.

and as for the boots, I use very thin goretex oversocks [again Alpinestar] and I have used the same set for last 5yrs in dirtbike and road bike boots

Geo, I have RST gear tex & leather.

Razor jacket & Slice leathers good stuff IMO

The trews come with shin armour & sliders, but no hip armour but the pockets are there for them.

Jacket comes with elbow & shoulder armour. Back protector extra.

Seem to be holding up under the strain around the waist & crotch.

Made in Pakistan according to the label.

Got mine from J&S http://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/sitemap

Have bought a bit of gear from them as there is a store near where I work so I can pop in at lunch times.

Have exchanged a few bits after purchase due to size issues with no problems. (Too big before the comments start, changed for smaller.)

Hope that helps.

Mac

Nice one, thanks  RST Leathers it is then.

There nearest RST dealer to me is Infinity although I have bought most my kit from J&S (including the leathers I'm selling)

Got RST Razor - aside from me losing weight and the trousers being too large I rate it for what it costs. Got some cracking boots - totally comfy and waterproof, survived a few drenchings.

before you spend a ton of dosh mate on boots try your eisting boots and just give covers a try

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat ... ers&_frs=1

Ive tried different boots and under heavy winter wind and rain they dont stay waterproof for long and there is only such much boot dubbing i can be botherd to do, these covers work very well

Thanks seb but my current boots are MX and have metal toe caps on. Not really suitable for a road bike

Thanks again, but I doubt they will allow that on the track

I'll look at the when I replace the textiles though (which are rapidly getting too big for me)
