whats a good rule of thumb when doing chain tension guys mine seems awfully slack? cheers in advance

Rotate it round and adjust the chain slack to spec at the tightest point.Check the slack in the drive chain lower run midway between the sprockets.

well mine was approx 50mm no wonder she felt noisy and a little rattley
