Chain & Sprocket kits ??

Post by leevtr »

I know all the main brands, DID, AFAM, Renthal etc, but theres so many kits out there at a seriously big range of prices, that I dont know what to buy. Don't want cheapo nasty, an OE one would be great. I do like the look of the anodised Sprockets and so on, but Would rather get one thats actually up to the job than just looking good. Any suggestions, before I go down local Honda agent ??

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

This combination comes to sensible money.... Not sure about the durability of alloy rear sprocket though, anyone used them ??

Found my answer. It appears alloy sprockets are too soft, steel all the way.

hi lee, i bought the talon front sprocket -1 and the same chain that you posted, very happy with them, i chose a more expensive supersprox rear sprocket tho, gold with a black hardened steel outer edge, when the teeth wear out you only have to replace the outer part.....

but i got mine from calsports, iirc a bit cheaper and great service.....

Gonna go for the steel option on standard gearing. I intend to do a decent euro trip this year, and would rather keep the revs sensible when crising at 80-100 mph. Plus the fact 100 twins aint exactly easy on things like chains and sprockets, I can get a decent DID extreme kit for under £100 delivered, and might keep my eye out for a scottoiler. ( they are unbelievably good when set up right )
