howdy all ,
i thought i might share some firestorm stuff with ya'll , various pictures and clips of my storms , if not here then ???? ...
well it seems the forum is quiet and im bored !!! , so just to avoid confusion theres two bikes 1 standard (well its highly modified but not as modified as my other one )

just wanna say first though , and i really dont wanna be rude ! , but ''you shuold have done this......''' ''i wudda done that'' 'that bits painted wrong''' etc etc etc ,,, i really dont care im just sharing what i chose to do with my bikes , and hope its of interest ,

ok quick bit of backround on myself ; i returned to ireland from abroad in 2005 , i hadent much money but worked as a courier in dublin (i had done the job for years before so , it seemed a way out ) did all the hours i could , and opened a small bike shop ,

i bought a low miles bros 650 , and i drove the absolute sh1t out of it for three years , the absolute sh1t

coupla regs failed but otherwise it only brokedown once , (broken wire right switchgear) ,,,,,, outstanding

anyway i dint like the look of the firestorm but thought it might be the way to go !

the bros (150,000miles est.)




so ... a firestorm turned up at the right money , small fall and bodywork repaired badly , few little things not right but didnt seem abused,,

pic of me at first ever trackday (late 2009) , it was a huge milestone as in jan 2008 i was involved in a very serious accident , lucky to be alive never mind on a bike!!








ok . so it was no showbike , but i had sold the bros and my other bikes were tidy , i loved the storm motor and decided with that engine , it was stayin . i needed a bike that didnt need to be kept clean , and could be parked around town etc ,, i needed a replacement for the bros , so time to tone it down a little ,

anyone get the atari thing??

SUSPENSION: i hated the front fork/brake relationship ,,,,, hated it , ruined the bike (for me) so r1 frontend (recommend) (any q's just ask!) fantastic ,, didnt really struggle with the back , but.. nitron shock too


so yer gonna hate this



and on a trip to west coast of ireland (real real nice place if you get the weather!!!)

anyways thats the way that bike stayed , and i was well happy , but deceide a few weeks ago it needed a little love , so stripped the chassis greased / inspected / replaced as needed all chassis components , and gave it a lick of paint ::

perfect , its ok i cut myself once and matt black came out so were compatable

so , THE TUNED ONE


old members (long before me!!) will know my bike ,,

when i bought it it was in a sorry state engine was good , but tyres chain clutch etc was wombles , so i was taking a chance , but i must tip my hat to the engine builder the motor was perfect (and still is!!!!!!!!!!!)


before you watch the video , the bike turned out great ,, but looked wrong , the problem was the seat was too high and the colour did nothing for all the work underneath , it looked like a bad streetfighter , i cured this later on .

so i needed to fix how it looked .

it looked bad , so i came up with a joey dunlop kinda tribute theme

now , im not new to forums , and its a fact . no modified bike pleases everyone , but im very happy with where i went on this one

fact is some will like, and some will hate ,

im keeping the black one , and i have a srad 750 trackbike , but im probably gonna have to sell the modded one

never really thought about that but yeah , apart from engine work on the tuned bike , and powder coating its my own work
