headscratcher for the boffins :D
interesting fault on a machine today..... 3 people have looked at it before and made it worse lol!
this is how i found it.
the wiring was nice and neat when it left the factory but now looks like a bird's nest!
what happens is when i press the start (reset) button, 2 led's light up on the control pcb A1F to say there are no faults.... but it wont start, until i manually press in relay K1M with a screwy.
the relay then latches and the machine runs normally, until its idle function kicks in, then it stops automatically, with the led's still lit, saying there are no faults, but it wont restart until i again manually press in the contactor K1M.
apparently theyve been starting it like that for years!
it appears someone in the past has got confused by the wiring diagram and thought that the contactor on the right is K3M - when it's actually K1M. (thats a clue to the fault btw!)
i know what the faut is btw... just seeing if anyone can suss it

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

presumably the internal wiring is correct as it would have been factory tested so the fault is with the incoming feed

no mate, it's been systematically fuxored by a succession of numptys who have missed the original fault and bodged it to get it going!playerone wrote:presumably the internal wiring is correct as it would have been factory tested so the fault is with the incoming feed
externally its bob on - looks brand new.
it's the wiring that's been cabbaged.

what is it?
Re: headscratcher for the boffins :D
Fuse, or not switched on.
Or was it a loose battery connector like the SP2

Re: headscratcher for the boffins :D
Is it somehow that the coil for k1M has been mistakenly wired so that it is being latched in by a contact from itself (ie it would never latch in unless manually forced to energise ie the screwdriver). should be latched in by a contact from K3M ?
