Hello from Finland
Hello everyone! My name is Oskari and I'm from Finland. I've been reading this forum for a while now, and decided introduce myself. The winters are long here, so I try to ease the pain of not being able to ride by reading this forum quite often...
My bike is a 1999 model, pretty much standard. I've had it from fall 2011. The colour is orange (certainly the fastest ), which seems to be pretty rare around here - I've never seen another one. This is my first bike, I only have ridden a scooter before.
I'm really waiting for the Spring to arrive. Snow will probably melt away sometime in march-april. The bike has already been sitting in the garage since october!
P.S.
This is my first post to any forum ever. (I'm a reader, not a writer...)

Hi Oskari,
good to see that we have tempted you out of the shadows and forced you to join in
once you get over the feeling that you might be dealing with soocial retards it becomes good fun
with a long winter like you have we will be expecting some serious modification to be carried out

Welcome to Nordic section of the forum!
Let's show next winter what real winter driving is about and get proper tires to Storm shall we?
Something like this http://bikerpunks.com/mediaviewer/537/c ... acing.html
I say bad weather is only a bad excuse.
(well, it will need some extra like heated grips and small things like that, but...)

Re: Hello from Finland
And there's me complaining about how bitterly cold it is here today.
Welcome to the forum Oskari. As your coming from a scooter to a 1000cc, you be careful, especially if there is a bit of ice/snow about.
As it's not riding season for you then now would be a good time to get the only two week points with these bikes sorted. That's the CCT's and Regulator Rectifier. Have a look in the workshop knowlagebase there plenty of info around.
As for not being a writer, think of it as talking.

Re: Hello from Finland
hi mate - and welcome. Are you confusing your Storm sounds with the sun and don't worry, we only get to see one of them as wellVeturinkuljettaja wrote: The colour is orange (certainly the fastest ), which seems to be pretty rare around here - I've never seen another one.
Perhaps we could organise Storm across Europe one day
pics would be good though, as I think we've only had one orange one pass us by

Re: Hello from Finland
Welcome Oskari. Congratulations on your English, very impressive. However you have made one error, understandable with it being your second language. Your error is in the statement regarding the colour of your bike and should read "The colour is orange (certainly the nastiest)". Orange should only be seen on fruit or girls from Essex!!!!My bike is a 1999 model, pretty much standard. I've had it from fall 2011. The colour is orange (certainly the fastest ), which seems to be pretty rare around here - I've never seen another one. This is my first bike, I only have ridden a scooter before.
Welcome to the forum fella, enjoy your time here.
