do i get the tyre fitted or do i put fuel in my bike....
i cant do both so either way im fkt!
ive got a set of 3 2ft levers, rim protectors and g clamp bead breaker somewhere but all i could find is a rusty old push bike set....
so....
i remember a mate a while ago on about this.......
changing a tyre with cable ties. :s
yeh i know, sounds like bollox - but trust me, its easy as crouton. tyre off, tyre on in less than 20 mins - with no levers

hardest thing was breaking the bead - without a beadbreaker.
i used the forklift at work - took 5 mins

put the hub on a block of wood, set the forks either side of the rim and dropped them down = POP

next - fat cable ties... skinny ones are no good.
pop the ties through & under the tyre and kneel on it, tightening the tie until the 2 beads touch.
180* same again. until theres 8 ties, all with the bead touching.

lots of soapy liquid on the rim and tyre then just pull it off. i just got hold of the spokes and gave it a pull and off it popped, ne levers, no real force needed.

exactly same with thee 'new' tyre..... 8 ties on it, beads touching together.... i used a soluble grease to pop it back on.... dead easy.

was just one bit about 8" left and it popped on easy when i stood on it.
if you're struggling it just needs more soap.

then cut the ties off and bounce the tyre to spread the beads apart.
blew it up and deflated it to seat the beads, then pumped it to full pressure.
awesome. really easy - you've got to try this lol

(but make sure you put it on the right way round lol) :s fail!! never mind, it's only got to do me til weekend!
is a few vids on youtube as well
