Remove flywheel to replace CCT?

It's not quite clear but looking at the VTR service manual it seems that you have to remove the flywheel to get to the CCT on that side -- anyone who knows whether this is true? (Hopefully not, so that I do not have to buy another expensive torque wrench...)

NO NO NO NO NO, only if you need to change a cam chain or cam chain guide on the front cylinder.
