Alistair is supposed to be sorting out a Scottish trip up to the brewery's

Jurassic coast would be good as well for a day out. But I thought Axmouth was more of where the Jurassic caost was and the sands turn from Yellow to Brown.

That sounds like a good idea. The road from Weymouth to Bridport running above Chesil beach was a real peach. Haven't ridden it since 1998 but if it's half as good as it was it's worth visiting.
Last time I rode down from Box Hill To Lyme Regis linking a load of RIDE magazines recommended routes. Stayed in a B&B in Lyme and had a very nice Curry as I recall. :D

Having looked at your Photo's isn't that the very road I was talking about Geo?

Cool Kev. Yes, thats the very road. From Abbotsbury to West Quay. A great stretch of road, especially when clear.
