So, I knew that this thing performed brilliantly on twisties already - first rides proved it - only bad side is that new shock pulled ride height up a bit, so my gains from raised clipons a bit deteriorated - with stock clipons I'd probably been "wristless" in 10 min.
But yesterday I deliberately went to shitty backroads and was amazed by bike "eating" potholes and bumps in a way it never did - you know, when you approaching known bump and you trying to hold tight cos know what happens next with Storm and you anticipate paintful kick...and...and ....nothing. It goes "bu-bu" somewhere underneath bike and that's all. You elbow feel nothing.
I had Ohlins shock on me previous bike - it was brilliant for aggressive rides, but I never had chance to put settings in best compromise between comfort and track. With separated low-speed and high-speed dumping adjustement it seems much more achievable.
So - IMHO if you will get youself cool aftermarket shock - spend some extra so that it will have 2-speed dumping adjusters.
