Abba stand dimensions

Post by bsabloke »

Hi all
I am going to make a stand (copying the abba stand).
Can anyone, who has one, please measure the distance from the floor to the centre of the shaft into the frame?
If i could get that measurement i would be very grateful.
Thanks
Richard

I shall go and have a measure for you now. Hold on I shall be back in a couple of minutes.

I'm back. It 46.5 cm from the floor to the centre of the tube that runs across.

Thanks kev
I made one years ago for my fz750 & gave it away with the bike!
What a plonker!
It was good but not 100% but lessons learnt.
I'm not at same company now, but new job has better facilities.
Pitures to follow, not straight away but hopfully within the month.

It maybe a problem getting box section, but machining & welding no problem.
Although it all looks simple, i know my 1st effort took quite a bit of time to complete.
It nay be easier this time.
