Well I'm running an Ohlins with a remote res.
They have you mount it on the left side of the sub frame.
Pics are in my bike thread....

I have a Penske and I mounted the reservoir on the left side just behind the pillion hanger, drilled a couple of holes in the inner mudguard and zip tied it in place, put rubber buffers in between to protect from any damage, it looks really neat and if I took it off you wouldn't see the holes.
When I got the shock it had a really short hose, I've no idea how or where it could have been mounted so I got a longer hose fitted.

Not a clear or close up picture but you can see where it is.

So it's pointing to the left..... sorry that is the best I can do as I still don't have my shock :Ball Kick:

Here is a link to the Ohlins mounting instructions if that helps at all....... http://www.ohlins.com/Products/Mounting ... _HO701.pdf

@ wicky
That Ohlins is mounted wrong, it should be above the subframe rail and with the comp adjuster facing forward.

Here's my shock

As you can see the banjo on the shock can fit facing the front or rear of the bike .
When I received the shock both the banjo were loose ! So I don't know which way it fits .
Thank you for your help guys but as ohlins are different but I get the idea of where to mount the res all I need now is do I mount it facing forward or rearwards ?

If you want I can take a few detail photo's of the shock on the bike in the morning mate, it's pissing down at the mo and getting a bit dark for clear shots.

If the banjo was loose then the reservoir will have lost pressure, you need to get it recharged. So you might as well decide the best place to put the reservoir then get a suspension place to fit you a longer hose and recharge it. I sent mine to reactive suspension but you might find someone local who can do it, motox shops sometimes have all the gear to do it.

yep it needs a service and a new spring i just want to get the remote in the correct position and tightened up so when i send it for a service it will come back in the same position .
